Nicolas Travis @nicolas.allies
Founder
Our founder was inspired to start Allies of Skin after a tragic accident that resulted in devastating facial injuries and multiple infections. Overcoming fears, and accepting himself has been a lengthy journey that’s taken several years. "I knew that if I was having these feelings about my skin, others would have similar feeling too. So, if I could help just one person feel better about themselves through their skin, then my painful experience would have been worth something. I owe it to 19-year-old me to share my story so that it may help someone with theirs. For everyone reading this, just know that you are more than enough." 🙏🏻🖤
Tonya Renee Meisenbach @burnedbeauty2018
Burn Survivor
In December 2018, Tonya, aka Burned Beauty 2018, suffered 3rd and 4th degree burns to 35% of her body, including her entire face. After 2 months in a coma and 6 months in the hospital, she had to relearn basic skills. Her burned skin was replaced with grafts, leaving her unrecognisable and feeling hopeless. Her love of makeup returned, leading her to try new skincare products. At 51, she is now a beauty influencer, happier and more confident than ever, firmly believing that “This, too, shall pass."

Catrin's mission is to show trauma survivors that life can be fulfilling and positive. As a model, advocate, and motivational speaker, she has made a significant impact in the journey of many survivors.
Jacqueline Durand @jacqueline_claire99
Dog attack survivor
My name is Jacqueline Durand. At almost 22, I was attacked by 2 dogs I was dogsitting on December 23, 2021. I sustained 800 wounds, with the most damage to my face, losing my nose, ears, upper lip, some jaw muscles, and more. After an 8-day medically induced coma and 2 months in the hospital, I've undergone 23 reconstructive surgeries. I still face at least 2 more years of surgeries. My faith, therapy, community, and dogs have helped me. I'm sharing my journey to help others feel less alone.
Rawtee @rawtee2
Burn Survivor & amputee
Hi, I’m Rawtee. I’m a double amputee and burn survivor who has undergone over 30 surgeries after a car wreck where I was not expected to live. As you could probably imagine, my healing journey has been tough but also rewarding because it shows me that going through a burn injury not only shows you the importance of having inner strength, but also having self love. I share my story of strength and healing to inspire others. As a makeup content creator, I show my audience the beauty in self-love and the power of never giving up.
